Barbara Clayton Price, MSW, LMSW, ACSW, CHt, is a Psychotherapist, Licensed Counselor, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Public Speaker. Barbara has been practicing in Grand Rapids, Michigan since 1993. She is a graduate, cum laude from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, with a BA in Communication Arts. Barbara received her Master of Social Work degree from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1991. She received her two-year Certification in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy from The Wellness Institute, in Issaquah, WA in 1999.While attending The University of Michigan, Ms. Price was schooled in foundations of an ethical and multicultural practice. In addition, she received education in the practice of the following therapies; Psychoanalytic Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Existential Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Transactional analysis, Behavior Therapy, Rational-Emotive Therapy, other Cognitive-Behavioral approaches and Reality Therapy. Eclectic in her approach to treatment, Barbara utilizes a variety of the before mentioned approaches to treatment with her clients in addition to some alternative healing practices.Ms. Price has enjoyed years of private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
