I have found that my mission changes or expands as I grow in my own life. In more recent times I have expanded my work to include a practice for medical and dental professionals. I feel that this population is often overlooked due to their need for anonymity and I offer them the help they need in an even more confidential format.
I have included in my mission the determination to aid in reducing the number of suicides and deaths caused by Postpartum Disorder. I have helped many women to move from a life of fear and pain to the healthy and productive life they experienced, before the birth of their child. This serious problem goes often undiagnosed as busy physicians often overlook the symptoms. It is my hope that I may work hand in hand with physicians, to minimize this disorder which causes such pain for the new mother, her husband/partner as well as other members of the family. Until you experience this serious problem first-hand, you cannot imagine the pain and suffering it brings to women and their families.
My mission has always been to aid my clients in the release of emotional pain and suffering. Helping them to heal and recover from life's sometimes painful circumstances. People often ask how I can do my job when it appears to be filled with so much sadness and negative emotion. I explain that when my clients first come in their deepest pain that I can mentally look ahead to where they are going. I see them healed and free from their suffering, moving forward in their lives renewed.
I am not an extraordinary person and I sometimes fall short of my own expectations in life. However, I have been given gifts and talents and I have received exemplary education and training. Life, too, continues to offer me personal growth with every challenge I meet, aiding in the all important ability to empathize with my clients. Every day I ask that my Creator guide me and that I bring harm to no one that day. It is with these words that I begin each morning, Having the knowledge to help others and the love in my heart for those who suffer.
I have been a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist for over twenty years. I am a graduate of the Wellness Institute in Issaquah, Washington. I completed a two-year Internship in New York and Washington State, in addition to my initial training in Chicago, Illinois. I am also certified in a speciality trauma treatment by Uncommon Knowledge Group in London England.
